Attempts from the line. They never count towards FGA, so a night built on free throws leaves FG% untouched while still showing up in TS%.

7-8 is seven of eight from the line, worth seven points. Its far edge sits 5.80 m from the inner edge of the endline under FIBA rules; the “fifteen feet” everyone quotes is the distance from the line to the front face of the backboard.
What it leaves out
How many free throws someone takes is mostly a function of how they play, not luck. Whoever keeps driving gets them; whoever lives behind the arc barely does.
