Efficiency and rate stats
USG%
What does USG% mean in basketball?
使用率Usage rate
The share of the team’s possessions this player finished while on the floor — by shooting, by being fouled, or by turning it over. It measures how much of the offense runs through someone, not how well.

How it is worked out
100 × (FGA + 0.44 × FTA + TOV) × (Tm MIN ÷ 5) ÷ (MIN × (Tm FGA + 0.44 × Tm FTA + Tm TOV))
Worked through
The five players on the floor add up to 100%, so 20% is exactly average. Someone at 32% is taking one and a half shares by themselves.
What it leaves out
There is no good or bad usage. Its whole job is to give efficiency a context: 56% TS at 35% usage and 56% at 14% are not the same achievement.

One term down, the whole sheet to go
The numbers on a sheet lean on each other. How many free throws appear depends on the team foul count; how many rebounds exist depends on how both teams shot. Reading a whole game means reading them together.
