Elevator screen, elevator doors and gate screen usually mean the same action, not one fixed play, so it can appear in Horns, Box, an inbounds set or ordinary half-court offense.

Good teams first give the shooter another job, such as a cross screen, baseline fake, basket cut or handoff, so the defender turns toward a different problem and the two screeners arrive naturally. The classic Box version is screen-the-screener: the shooter cross-screens, then immediately races through the elbow gate.

Horns 则直接用两名肘区队员组成门。持球人运向侧翼，射手从底线升到弧顶，球再回传；提前换防会放出掩护人下顺，协防收缩会漏底角，封回传则让持球人继续突破。第一记投篮只是阅读的起点。 · Horns creates the same gate from two elbow players. The handler moves to a wing, the shooter rises from the baseline, and the pass returns to the top. An early switch opens a screener's slip, inside help exposes the corner, and denial of the return pass lets the handler keep driving. The first shot is only the beginning of the read.
